The Kate Wolf website - Nicholas was the festival photographer for Kate's family at the 2004 and 2005 Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festivals, held in late June each year at Black Oak Ranch near Laytonville, California.
Cumulus Presents is the producer of the annual Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival. Go here for details about the next festival, held annually on the last weekend in June. Cloud Moss is the producer.
Nina Gerber is a great guitar and mandolin player who first gained prominence as accompanist to Kate Wolf when Nina was barely out of high school. She has put out several of her own CDs and is in great demand as a recording session player and producer. "One of the best acoustic and electric guitarists in the folk genre." says Frets Magazine. I agree.
U. Utah Phillips was a great folksinger, storyteller, hobo and IWW activist. He died May 23, 2008 of congestive heart failure. He was a friend to Kate Wolf, and frequently performed at the Kate Wolf Music Festivals held in northern Mendocino County. His syndicated radio show was titled "Loafer's Glory."
Pedro Rodelas is the fine operatic tenor who played the leading role of Rodolfo in Opera Fresca's 2006 production of Puccini's La Boheme. He also appeared in the Mendocino Music Festival's 2004 production of Pagliacci.
Jive 95! - Once upon a time in the Bay Area there was KSAN FM. For more than a decade starting in 1968, The Jive 95, led by Tom Donahue, fueled the flames of creative freedom on the airwaves and produced some of the most incredible, inspiring, outrageous radio ever broadcast. The site is dedicated to the spirit and memories of this extraordinary station.
